Nobody says cheese.
Nobody sits still.
That's the whole point.
Family Photographer · Norwich & Norfolk
No studio. No stiff poses. No bribing a three-year-old to look at the lens. I'm a documentary family photographer in Norwich, and I photograph your lot doing what your lot actually do — messing about on a beach, arguing about snacks, being properly, brilliantly yourselves.

Kids don't pose.
Neither do I.
The photos you'll still love in twenty years aren't the ones where everyone's lined up smiling. They're the ones where your youngest is halfway up a tree and you're laughing at something off-camera.
What a session with me
is and isn't.
What it is
- An hour of your family doing something you'd do anyway — a walk, a beach, your own front room
- Me hanging back, following your kids, catching the bits you're too busy living to notice
- A handful of gentle nudges, not a shot list
- Snacks, meltdowns and mud all completely allowed
- Photos that look like your actual family, not a catalogue
What it definitely isn't
- Matching outfits on a white studio backdrop
- "Everyone look here and say cheese"
- An hour of your child being told to stand still
- You buying photos back one print at a time
- Anyone being made to feel awkward. Ever.
What families actually say.

Aaron joined us for a family day and was an expert at creating relaxed, natural-looking photos. He was so professional and had so much patience with our 2 children. We would highly recommend for any family occasion!

Let's get a date in.
Hello.
I'm Aaron.
And I'm a dad too.
I know exactly how a family shoot can go. You've spent a week planning outfits, everyone's tired by 4pm, and someone decides today is the day they won't look at a camera. I've been on your side of that.
I've got ADHD, so I notice everything. The look between siblings. The second before your toddler bolts. The bit where your partner laughs properly, not for the camera. That's what I'm there for — not the lined-up shot.
- You want photos on the wall, not a folder you never open
- Your kids don't do sitting still
- You hate having your photo taken and always have
- You'd rather be walking than standing in a studio
Neurodivergent family?
You're in the right place.
Most family photographers say they're "great with kids". Fewer will tell you what happens when a child is overwhelmed, non-speaking, needs to stim, or simply cannot do the thing being asked. I'm neurodivergent myself, so I don't need it explaining.
No forced eye contact. No singling anyone out. No "just one more". We go at your family's pace, we take breaks whenever you need them, and if the session ends up being twenty minutes of one kid and the dog — that's a brilliant session and you'll still get lovely photos. Tell me what your family needs before we start and I'll build the whole thing around it.
where could we go.
Pick somewhere that means something to you and we'll shoot there. If you'd rather I picked, these are the spots I come back to again and again — all within easy reach of Norwich.
Whitlingham Broad
Ten minutes from Norwich, big water, easy parking. My default for families with little legs.
Holkham Beach
Endless sand and huge skies. Golden hour here is genuinely hard to beat.
Mousehold Heath
Right on Norwich's doorstep. Woodland, bracken and views over the city.
Thetford Forest
Pines, dens and dirt. Perfect if your kids need somewhere to properly run.
Wells & Sheringham
Beach huts, crab lines and chips. Classic north Norfolk family day out.
Your own home
Pancakes, sofa piles, bath time. Underrated, and the photos your kids will love most.
How it works.
Message me
Tell me who's in the family, roughly when, and anything I should know. That's it.
I reply fast. ADHD means I'm always on my phone.
We pick a spot and a time
Around naps, school, feeds, whatever rules your week. Late afternoon light is usually the winner.
Weekends and after school are fine.
We go for a wander
You do your thing. I follow. Occasional gentle nudge, zero standing about. It's over before the kids get bored.
Most people say it flew by.
